Ask any teenager today, and most would say cigarette smoking is disgusting. Without hesitation. Society has done a good job of educating our young people about the dangers of cigarette smoke and tobacco. However, the same is not true if you ask them about e-cigarettes, which still have nicotine in them with the same addictive properties nicotine has always had, only in much higher concentration levels than regular cigarettes. Perhaps, the potential to become addicted to nicotine does not have the same effect on a young person’s behavior as the image of what tobacco can do to your lungs. And advertisers are capitalizing on this very notion….almost in the exact same way as they did decades ago. Check out these pictures of ads from then and now.
