Film Screening of “Like” and Panel Discussion
October 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for one of the first screenings in the country of the documentary film, LIKE, on October 18, 2018 at 7pm at The Picture House. From the same team that brought us Screenagers and Angst, the film explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The goal of the film is to inspire and help equip us, especially kids, to self-regulate. The film is suitable for children ages 10+.
A panel of experts and teens will discuss the film and answer questions from the audience. Perspectives on the panel will include: Dr. Mark Bertin, Developmental Pediatrician; Dr. Katherine Harding; Clinical Psychiatrist; Mr. Scott Brown, Guidance Counselor, Pelham Middle School; Nora Tahbaz, PMHS student; Quincy Stern, PMS student
This event serves as the kick-off event for Pelham Together’s Disconnect to Reconnect community campaign. Join us in powering off our technology to share face-to-face time with family and friends, grow our personal connections, and practice a healthy balance!
