Halloween decorations started going up last week, and October had barely hit the calendar. We remember last Halloween, with candy conveyor belts and chutes so kids didn't have to get too close and could still enjoy the holiday. Several of us are very excited to actually greet our young neighbors at the door in a few weeks, putting us in a much better place this year than last; however, the strains and uncertainties of the pandemic remain.
